LONDON (CelebrityAccess) Printworks in London, a sprawling EDM venue built underground in London’s Canal Water district, has announced it is about to open another live room inside of it
The unnamed 3,000-capacity room kicks off March 23 with art-rock psychedelic band Django Django and has Tokio Myers April 10 and drum-and-bass act Pendulum lined up for April 14
The room touts an extensive d&b audiotechnik J and V-Series system, LED video screens, Kinesys moving rig technology, and running content by Digital Insanity, according to a statement, along with friggin’ lasers from Dragonfly.
Printworks opened in 2017 in the industrial surroundings of the former Metro and Evening Standard printing facility and hosted Gorillaz’s album launch for Humanz, a music video shoot for Stormzy and the Afropunk Festival.
The venue was launched by Broadwick Live and Vibration Group.
“We feel hugely privileged to have helped breathe life back into this remarkable landmark since it opened its doors as a venue in 2017,” Broadwick Live’s Bradley Thompson said in a statement. “It was always our ambition for Printworks to lead the way not just in era defining electronic music events, but across all arts. In Printworks, we truly believe that we have one of the most incredible venues there is today, and we’re absolutely committed to giving people unparalleled production, programming and experiences throughout the cultural spectrum.”
