SANTA BARBARA (CelebrityAccess) — Pop queen Katy Perry has been announced as the headliner for a benefit concert to help those impacted by the Thomas Fire and subsequent flooding and mudslides.
The benefit, awkwardly named ‘Witness: Coming Home – A Benefit For The Community: Our Neighbors, Our Heroes’ will take place on May 19th at the Santa Barbara Bowl and is being presented by Firework Foundation.
Proceeds from the show will support the Santa Barbara Foundation, 93108 Fund, Cold Spring School and 805UNDOCUFund which all help in assisting members of the community in the Santa Barbara area through grants and various philanthropic efforts.
Tickets for the show went on sale on March 15th, first to local residents and then to the general public, but have already sold out.
Perry will perform the full set she’s using for her current Witness tour. The North American segment of the tour wrapped month with a performance at Rogers Arena in Vancouver and Perry has additional segments planned in the coming months, including dates in Latin America, Europe, Asia, Australia and New Zealand.
