MIAMI, FL (CelebrityAccess) — A Miami Beach nightclub is facing scrutiny over possible animal cruelty after a video surfaced of a woman riding a horse into a boisterous crowd inside of the venue.
A video of the incident shows a bikini-clad woman mounted on a white horse in the middle of a cheering crowd inside of the venue. Shortly into the video, the animal appears to panic from the noise and crowd, and falls, leaving the woman to tumble from its back.
After the video went viral, police revealed that they were investigating the incident.
“Last night MBPD was made aware of the alleged incident at Mokai,” a police spokesman told the Miami New Times. “We are very concerned over the allegations. As such, we have launched a joint investigation with Miami Beach Code Enforcement.”
Mokai didn’t immediately respond to a request for comment from the New Times and has not responded to the matter on social media.
