HELSINKI, Finland (CelebrityAccess) — Music Finland announced the appointment of Kaisa Rönkkö as the organization’s new Executive Director.
Rönkkö is a veteran of the Finnish music scene and is currently in the orchestra department at the Finnish National Opera and Ballet where she has been responsible for a staff of more than 130 professionals.
Her C.v. also includes a stint at the EU project OperaVision, which aims to bring opera productions to a wider audience through the use of streaming technology.
”Finnish music exports continue to grow and Music Finland is in an exceptional place at the moment, so I’m truly excited about my upcoming position. We have great international success stories in many musical genres, which is fascinating for me. The Finnish music sector has vast potential, so I’m strongly confident about the future of this field”, says Rönkkö.
Rönkkö will start her position on the 7th of May. Her predecessor Tuomo Tähtinen will start his new post at Fullsteam Agency on the 5th of March.
