ROTHBURY, MI (CelebrityAccess) — A week after announcing the lineup for their 2018 curated event series, Electric Forest organizers announced a slew of additions to this year’s festival lineup.
New to the bill for Electric Forest 201 8 are host Mt. Joy, Dub Trio, CharlestheFirst, Kidswaste, ProbCause, and others. Additions to the First Weekend include Thundercat, Falcons, Mount Kimbie, Tsuruda, Stickybuds, Star Kitchen featuring Marc Brownstein, Supernatural Beings featuring Joel Cummins, Kris Myers, Marcus Rezak, and Hash Vyas, who are booked to play both weekends of the event.
New additions to the lineup for the second weekend only include Boogie T. Rio (Live), Claptone, Elderbrook, Tennis Jacket featuring Marc Brownstein and Jeremy Salken, and others.
The fest’s second weekend will also see London jazz veteran and saxophonist Shabaka Hutchings and his jazz combo The Comet is Coming, as well as his UK jazz act, Sons of Kemet to the Forest to the festival.
The festival also announced the launch of its brand new “Tickets For Teachers” program. The program offers every full-time K-12 teacher in the counties of Oceana, Mason, Lake, Newaygo, and Muskegon the opportunity to apply to receive 1 GA Wristband to either weekend of Electric Forest 2018.
“Electric Forest is inspired by the many voices who call for greater support and appreciation for teachers. We hope the festival can provide local teachers a deeper connection to community, a free-spirited exploration of the arts, and a well-deserved Summer recharge,” said festival producer Jeremy Stein.
