PASADENA (CelebrityAccess) Pasadena’s Gallery 30 South has announced the first-ever solo art exhibition of Chuck D from Public Enemy and Prophets of Rage.
The exhibition titled “Behind the Seen” featuring some of Chuck D’s most prolific artwork to date, opens Sunday, March 4, 2018 and runs through the month.
“Behind the Seen” will feature original artworks and prints for purchase.
Chuck D’s illustrations are described as figurative adaptations assembled into his work with a distinctive, compositional sensibility and worldly feel. Much of the work he will exhibit was completed while on tour.
Chuck D (born Carlton Douglas Ridenhour) studied graphic design at Long Island’s Adelphi University, where he met William Drayton — who would become Flavor Flav, his comedic counterfoil in Public Enemy.
Chuck D will appear at Gallery 30 South on Sunday, March 4, 2018 from 3:00-6:00 p.m. to meet and greet patrons and collectors.
