LOS ANGELES (CelebrityAccess) — American rock bands Coheed and Cambria and Taking Back Sunday announced that they are teaming up for a co-headlining amphitheater tour in the summer of 2018.
The 28-city U.S. tour, produced by Live Nation, launches on July 6th at Bayfront Park Amphitheater in Miami, Florida, with additional stops in major markets such as Atlanta, Boston, New York City, Denver and Los Angeles.
The tour will then wrap up with a final performance at Comerica Theatre in Phoenix, AZ on Sunday, August 12.
Joining the tour on all dates as an opening act will be the Northern California band The Story So Far.
Coheed and Cambria will be performing material from their expansive catalog, with their most recent album being 2015’s “The Color Before the Sun.” Taking Back Sunday will be on the road in support of their seventh studio album “Tidal Wave” which they released in 2016.
It’s funny, we’ve been friends all of this time but we’ve never done a full tour together,” comments Taking Back Sunday drummer Mark O’Connell. “We ran into each other at some festivals last year and got to talking about it and here we are,” he added.
