LAS VEGAS (CelebrityAccess) Elton John was hit with Mardis Gras beads while performing at the Colosseum At Caesars Palace in Las Vegas Feb. 15, causing him to briefly stop singing.
The 70-year-old John had invited several members of the audience onstage for a rendition of “Saturday Night’s Alright For Fighting” when a necklace of beads was tossed onto his piano, which bounced upward and hit him in the mouth, according to video. Sir Elton stopped playing briefly, checked his mouth for damages, mutters, has his mouth wiped with a cloth, then returns to playing within 30 seconds as the band continued to perform.
The culprit was one of the audience members onstage, according to TMZ.
