LOS ANGELES (CelebrityAccess) — “Gucci Gang” rapper Lil Pump was reportedly arrested on Wednesday after allegedly firing a weapon in his California home.
According to TMZ, the 17-year-old Pump — whose real name is Gazzy Garcia — told his manager that the shot was fired by three trespassers who were attempting to break into his San Fernando Valley home. Pump told his manager that one of the interlopers fired the shot through a door.
Police investigating the incident, found alleged discrepancies in Garcia’s story, however, and returned with a search warrant before arresting Garcia for discharging a weapon in an inhabited place, TMZ reported.
Police reported that they found an unloaded weapon on the property, as well as marijuana in the home. According to TMZ, Garcia’s mother, who owns the home, is now under investigation for endangering a minor and having an unsecured gun at home. She was not present at the time of the incident, TMZ said.
The rapper was booked into a juvenile detention center and has since been released on house arrest, according to the Blast.
Lil Pump is best known for his 2017 hit “Gucci Gang” which peaked at #3 on the Billboard Hot 100 and has been streamed more than 500 million times on YouTube. His debut album was released in October last year.
