LONDON (CelebrityAccess) — MTV UK is set to debut a new channel featuring music (a novel idea for them, right?) and gossip, aimed at the key 16-34-year-old demographic.
MTV OMG will debut on March 1st and will be available via ky 353 and Virgin 318. The channel will feature a variety of content, ranging from weekly top 40 and artist-curated playlists to themed countdowns and voiceover playlists.
“We’re really excited to be launching MTV OMG as the latest installment to our booming MTV music pack. The channel will be a great complement to the rest of our portfolio, bringing audiences all the latest pop culture moments, music and gossip from the world of entertainment,” Kelly Bradshaw, VP, brands said.
The new channel will join MTV UK’s current content lineup which includes MTV Music, MTV Base, MTV Hits, MTV Dance, MTV Rocks, MTV Classic, VH1 UK, MTV Music +1 and replaces FTA channel VIVA.
