LONDON (CelebrityAccess) Lady Gaga has canceled the remainder of her Joanne World Tour because of “severe pain.” The singer had 10 overseas dates left on the schedule.
“I’m so devastated. I don’t know how to describe it. All I know is that if I don’t do this, I am not standing by the words or meaning of my music,” Gaga said in a statement. “My medical team is supporting the decision for me to recover at home. We’re canceling the last 10 shows of my Joanne World Tour. I love this show more than anything, and I love you, but this is beyond my control.”
Live Nation said that the musician is “suffering from sever pain that has materially impacted her ability to perform live.” She was expected to play London’s The O2 arena tomorrow and had dates booked in Britain, Switzerland, Germany Sweden, Denmark, France and Brazil. Although the phraseology used is “canceling,” it is not yet known if the dates will be rescheduled.
The cancellations follow a similar situation last year when Lady Gaga postponed her September dates of Europe after being taken to a hospital in Rio de Janeiro for “severe physical pain.”
