NEW YORK (CelebrityAccess) Gary Richards, aka Destructo / the former chief of Hard Events and the Hard Summer festival, is planning on launching a cruise that would compete with the one he began, Holy Ship!, a representative confirmed to CelebrityAccess.
Richards – performing as his DJ alter-ego Destructo – said alongside Busta Rhymes at New York’s Output that they would soon launch “Friend Ship,” according to Dancing Astronaut. Richards created Holy Ship!, then sold a majority stake of it and the rest of his holdings to Live Nation, then exited his company last year to become the president of LiveStyle, the re-created version of SFX Entertainment. Meanwhile, Live Nation took the Holy Ship! on its Caribbean cruises earlier this month. The two cruises appeared to be packed, although had some arresting moments.
However, Richards is known for having a dedicated fan base, including the “Shipfam” – the regulars of the Holy Ship! cruise — and word is he is in direct contact with them regarding the Friend Ship project.
Meanwhile, Destructo is on his “Let’s Be Friends” tour and is curating the All My Friends Music Festival, although what is known of it so far is just a teaser website: https://amfamfamf.com/
