PHILADELPHIA (CelebrtyAccess) Bill Cosby had a surprise performance in Philadelphia Jan. 22 after announcing he would do a special performance honoring jazz great Tony Williams at LaRose Jazz Club.
The concert, open to the public, was the first for Cosby since 2015 as he battled dozens pending of sexual assault allegations.

Cosby performed to a friendly crowd, according to Fox News, then led the band in a set, first by “scatting,” then by playing the drums. He handed the drumsticks to the 11-year-old son of the bass player, asking him if he knew who he was. When the kid said no, Cosby deadpanned “I used to be a comedian” to laughter.
Cosby had been keeping out of the public eye but he was seen in several Philadelphia haunts on Sunday supporting his Philadelphia Eagles. Several women have claimed he drugged and raped them over the course of five decades; a trial by one of his accusers recently ended in a mistrial and a new trial is set for April.
