Earl’s father, Keorapetse Kgositsile, who was formerly the poet laureate of South Africa, died on January 3rd at the age of 79.
Earl, whose real name is Thebe Neruda Kgositsile, had been set to perform a series of shows down under in support of The xx, with shows set for Melbourne, Brisbane and Syndey, as well as a headlining show in Melbourne on Jan. 14th.
