DENVER (CelebrityAccess) Live Nation has entered into a long-term agreement to operate and book two of Denver’s Summit Music Hall and Marquis Theater.
Combined with Live Nation’s operation of the 3,600 capacity Fillmore Auditorium in the Capitol Hill neighborhood, Live Nation plans to attract an increasing roster of performers to the Mile-High City.
“We couldn’t be more excited to expand our venue portfolio with two of Denver’s best places to see live music,” Live Nation Colorado President Eric Pirritt said. “Both The Summit and Marquis continue to see growth year after year. With Live Nation operating and promoting these venues, the sky is the limit.”
Mike Barsch, Owner of Soda Jerk Presents, which owns the venues, said, “To have the #1 promoter in the world carry on the legacy of these two venues is flattering to say the least. The timing is right for this to happen, and I know Live Nation is going to do a great job for all the music fans in Denver.”
Soda Jerk will continue to operate the other venues it owns.
The theatre opened in 2006 and the hall opened in 2010.
Live Nation Colorado promoted over 250 events last year with shows planned in 2018 at the Fillmore Auditorium, Pepsi Center, Red Rocks Amphitheatre, Paramount Theatre, Bellco Theatre, Coors Field, Sports Authority Field at Mile High and more.
