LOS ANGELES (CelebrityAccess) — There was more bad news for Shakira’s fans this week after the Colombian singer announced that she was postponing both the U.S. and European legs of her upcoming tour while she let her vocal cords recover.
Shakira had previously announced in November that she was postponing first the opening of her European tour and then the entire run, citing vocal issues. Now the U.S. leg, which had been due to get underway this month, has also gone by the boards.
Shakira has already announced rescheduled dates for both the U.S. and European tour segments and is now slated to pick up the thread on June 5th in Cologne, Germany.
In a press statement announcing the rescheduled dates, a rep for Shakira said that she was on the way to a full recovery.
“While disappointed to not be able to perform in January as scheduled, Shakira is happy to be able to get back on the road by summer with her best show yet, and remains incredibly grateful for all the loyalty, patience and support her fans have shown her,” the presser said.
