NEW ORLEANS (CelebrityAccess) — Singer, songwriter and Dead & Company guitarist John Mayer is recovering after he underwent surgery on Monday.
Mayer’s rep Larry Solters told USA Today that the 40-year-old musician is “recovering” and in “good spirits” after he endured emergency surgery to remove his appendix.
Dead & Company were in New Orleans to perform a Dec. 6th show at the Smoothie King Center, but postponed the concert while Mayer sought medical care.
Dead & Company have also postponed their Dec. 7th concert at the Amway Center in Orlando, as well as their scheduled performance at the BB&T Center in Sunrise, FL, on Nov. 8th, while Mayer is on the mend.
