(CelebrityAccess) — The Eagles, featuring a revised lineup that includes original members Don Henley, Joe Walsh & Timothy B. Schmidt as well as country star Vince Gill and Deacon Frey, son of the late Glenn Frey, have announced plans for a North American run next year.
Starting on March 14th at the United Center in Chicago, the initial series of dates for the tour run through July 28th when the band performs at Citizens Bank Park in Philadelphia.
The tour will feature stadium concerts in Orlando, Miami, Denver and Minneapolis with Jimmy Buffett and the Coral Reefer Band; Washington D.C. and Philadelphia with James Taylor & His All-Star Band; and Dallas, Texas with Chris Stapleton sharing the bill; with all other dates as an “Evening with the Eagles.”
Additional dates for the tour are expected to be announced in the coming days.
While many fans wondered if the Eagles would ever perform again after the death of co-founder Glenn Frey in early 2016, the addition of Frey’s son Deacon, as well as Vince Gill, was well-received by critics and enthusiasts alike. Successful performances at the Classic East and West festivals earlier this year, as well as a short tour by the band this fall demonstrated the viability of touring with the new lineup.
Bob Seger, who performed with the band for their Classic festival dates, did not rejoin them for the tour and was not listed on the lineup for the new run.
