(Hypebot) – Concert discovery app Bandsintown has opened its platform to allow venues and festivals to claim their own official profiles and alert local music fans of new show announcements in real time.
Venues and festivals can now establish their brand presence at no cost on live music discovery app BandsInTown, as well as, customize their profile and add events.
15,000 promoters, venues, and festivals are already been using Bandsintown’s promoter service to create paid campaigns. Now venues will have their own access to Bandsintown Manager, allowing them to publish events independently. “We’re excited to have over 500 Venues already signed up to the Beta release, which will become public on December 15th,’ says Jon Ostrow, VP, Sales and Business Development.
In a recent survey of 35,000 of Bandsintown’s 38 million registered users, 49% said they’d discovered a new venue as a result of a Bandsintown recommendation, and 41% of Bandsintown users reported attending local shows more than five times per year. 57% of users reported attending more concerts thanks to the app.
Bandsintown has a global reach to 130 million music fans through Bandsintown Amplified which spreads tour dates to other sites and over active 440,000 artists. Venue Manager is currently available in Beta release.
