LIMERICK, Ireland (CelebrityAccess) — The Cranberries have canceled all of their upcoming European tour dates due to the health of singer Dolores O’Riordan.
In a statement issued by the band, a rep said that Ms. O’Riordan has been instructed by her doctors to not resume touring as planned while she recovers from an unspecified health issue with her back.
“It is with a heavy heart that we have had to pull these shows. Dolores is making good progress however we understandably don’t want to jeopardise a full recovery. We have really been thrilled to be back on the road and sharing our music with everyone, and so look forward to seeing everyone as soon as possible,” the statement said.
All the band’s shows from May 30 to August 30 have been canceled, and the previously canceled UK dates in May will also not be rescheduled. In all, 26 shows have been canceled and the latest round of kiboshed dates follows a series of postponed shows announced in May.
The Cranberries are due to head to the U.S. for a tour of North America, starting in September 11th. As of now, those shows are still on the books. – Staff Writers
