NEW YORK (CelebrityAccess) \u2013 More than 700 historical artifacts and rare pieces of memorabilia once owned by the likes of Kurt Cobain, David Bowie, Elvis Presley, the Beatles, Michael Jackson, Madonna, Queen, Bob Dylan, Jimi Hendrix, Eric Clapton, Bruce Springsteen, Elton John and more, will be up for auction at Julien’s Auctions in New York and online, beginning this Friday, October 25.<\/p>\n

Among the items for sale are the cardigan Cobain wore during Nirvana’s 1993 concert on MTV Unplugged (estimated to sell for up to $300,000 USD), Cobain’s custom Fender Mustang guitar (estimated to sell for up to $500,000 USD), Presley’s 1968 prototype solid rosewood Fender Telecaster guitar, handwritten lyrics to Eric Clapton’s “Layla” (estimated to sell for between $50,000-$70,000 USD), Bruce Springsteen’s handwritten lyrics to “Glory Road,” which was later renamed “Born to Run” (estimated to sell for between $80,000-$100,000 USD), and Michael Jackson’s custom velvet jacket that he wore to Elizabeth Taylor’s 65th birthday party and the premiere of his “Ghosts” film (estimated to sell for between $10,000 and $20,000 USD), among numerous other items.<\/p>\n

A rare archive belonging to Janis Joplin and Big Brother & the Holding Company is also being offered for the first time in 50 years at auction.<\/p>\n
