The trio was also ordered to a pay a total of 12,500 kronor ($1,310) in compensation to the victim, according to AP.<\/p>\n During the trial, Mayers, who was in Sweden as part of a European tour at the time of the assault, pleaded self-defense claiming he had tried to avoid a confrontation with two men, one of which was the victim, 19-year-old Mustafa Jafari. Mayers said the two men, who appeared to be under the influence of drugs, were persistently following his entourage despite repeated requests to leave them alone. A full-scale brawl ensued shortly afterward.<\/p>\n All three men spent a month in Swedish custody, before being freed on Aug. 2nd ahead of the verdict.
