AMSTERDAM (CelebrityAcess) — Ticketmaster has agreed to refund service fees for tickets to canceled concerts to customers in the Netherlands.<\/p>\n

According to RTL Nieuws, Ticketmaster, which is the largest ticketing vendor in the Netherlands, agreed to the change following pressure from Consumentenbond, a consumer advocacy group and scrutiny from trade regulators the Authority for Consumers and Markets.<\/p>\n

The Consumers’ Association had urged the ticket seller to adjust its policy because there was no legal basis for not providing a refund to consumers for canceled events, Consumentenbond said.<\/p>\n

The service fees varied from \u20ac2 euros to more than \u20ac10 euros per ticket, Consumentenbond reported.<\/p>\n

FollowingTicketmaster’s decision to provide full refunds, Consumentenbond called on other ticket vendors in the marketplace to follow suit.<\/p>\n
