LOS ANGELES (CelebrityAccess) A few casual conversations on a radio talk show have fueled rumors that Van Halen, with original singer David Lee Roth, are hitting the road again but this time with the full original lineup – meaning bassist Michael Anthony on board – and talk of stadiums.<\/p>\n

On the new Eddie Trunk SiriusXM show, a caller told the host that he heard from a person who knows a person that there is something in the air.<\/p>\n

\u201cOne of my colleagues has a brother who works at Live Nation, who allegedly told him that Van Halen has booked a date at Wrigley Field on July 27th,” the caller, named Derek, said. “Take it for what it\u2019s worth, I hope it\u2019s true, but I hope it\u2019s nothing else.\u201d<\/p>\n

Trunk responded that he has heard of other stadium dates, as well.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019ve gotten a lot of that, Derek,” Trunk said. “I had somebody call that told me they knew somebody at Fenway, and there\u2019s a date there. David Lee Roth dropped information when he was selling his skin cream or whatever that there was going to be a date at Yankee Stadium. So for a few weeks now we\u2019ve been hearing these rumors of stadium dates in some way this summer, but we obviously don\u2019t have an official announcement. Something must be in the wind if more and more people are talking about it.\u201d<\/p>\n

If Anthony is on-board, it would be the first time the band has played together since 1984. The last trips on the road have had Wolfgang Van Halen, the son of guitarist Eddie Van Halen, holding down the bass grooves. Wolfgang was not only highly competent but apparently a non-negotiable understanding to get Eddie back on the road – he would only play if Wolfgang played, too. The only difference is that the band’s distinct harmonies were courtesy of Anthony, who has been cozy with\u00a0 Sammy Hagar, himself a former member of Van Halen but that relationship has cooled tremendously, and there have been words passed back and forth<\/a><\/span> that may have also cooled relations with Anthony.<\/p>\n
