With his soccer career stalled, Chris Zarou decided to comb Soundcloud, that\u2019s where he found Logic, a guy living in a basement who was going to give it one more try.<\/p>\n

Chris took the Megabus to go see his future client.<\/p>\n

Mixtapes were released.<\/p>\n

A deal was signed with IDJ, but with no product released. The advance was an investment.<\/p>\n

Logic went on the road.<\/p>\n

And eventually, he hit with the suicide song, \u201c1-800-273-8255\u201d<\/p>\n

This is not your father\u2019s music business. Chris isn\u2019t even thirty. He relies on data, he combs it, and one of the most fascinating things he came across was the lack of bounce on streaming services after Logic\u2019s appearance on the Grammys. There was an uptick on iTunes, but not on Spotify. I\u2019m thinking everybody on Spotify already knew the track, Chris thought it was the oldsters who were buying it now.<\/p>\n

So that Grammy bounce\u2026<\/p>\n

Radio is behind.<\/p>\n

The Grammys are behind.<\/p>\n

But Logic is not behind.<\/p>\n
