Makuria was previously Vice President and is based at the company\u2019s Los Angeles headquarters. Her responsibilities include signing, developing, and setting up creative collaboration opportunities to benefit PULSE\u2019s world-class roster of recording artists, songwriters and producers across both PULSE Music Group\u2019s music publishing division and PULSE Records.<\/p>\n

Notably, Makuria was an integral part of the team involved in the very first signing to PULSE Records following its label launch, with the signing of Tommy Richman<\/strong> to a creative joint venture between PULSE Records and Brent Faiyaz\u2019s<\/strong> ISO Supremacy. The A&R team quickly hit the ground running and helped champion Tommy Richman\u2019s single \u201cMillion Dollar Baby\u201d to top global charts, now a massive single sitting at well over a billion streams. The move showed proof of concept for the newly launched PULSE Records, proving its ability to sign intentionally and to break an artist globally. \u201cMillion Dollar Baby\u201d hit #1 at Top 40 radio. Richman\u2019s latest single, \u201cDevil Is A Lie,\u201d is currently Top 15 at Rhythmic radio with over 140 million streams.<\/p>\n

Makuria\u2019s direct roster of artists and writers includes Fallen,<\/strong> producer of \u201cRoses\u201d by Saint Jhn<\/strong>. The song was later remixed by Future,<\/strong> and then remixed by Imanbek<\/strong> garnering 4.5 million streams in the month of release, landing a Grammy award, hitting #4 on Billboard<\/em> Hot 100 and topping charts in the UK, Australia, and Canada. Fallen also co-produced Doja Cat\u2019s<\/strong> \u201cGun\u201d (33 millon+ sreams on Spotify) and \u201cGo Off\u201d (27.4 milion+ streams on Spotify).
