Now, 20 years later, Worley revisited his career-defining song with a fresh modern-day perspective on its original themes for a reimagined version titled \u201cHave We Forgotten,\u201d available now via The Valory Music Co. \u201cOne of the first times we played \u2018Have You Forgotten?\u2019 live back then was on the Grand Ole Opry. The incredible response we received from that performance is how it all started,\u201d recalled Worley<\/strong>. \u201cWe recently decided to sit down and write a new lyric for the song that\u2019s appropriate for this day and time with what\u2019s happening in our country today. For the new version, \u2018Have We Forgotten,\u2019 we wanted to be certain we said what we were truly feeling in our hearts and didn\u2019t compromise what we believe in, which is exactly how it went down with the original. I\u2019m very proud of the message of the song.\u201d<\/p>\n

Worley recently debuted the new version of the song in the sacred circle of the Grand Ole Opry – the same stage he did the original nearly 20 years ago. Featuring all-new lyrics from Worley and Varble, alongside co-writer Noah Gordan<\/strong>, the trio now wonders during the chorus:<\/p>\n

The new release finds Worley reuniting with trailblazing label executives Scott Borchetta, Allison Jones, George Briner<\/strong> and Jimmy Harnen,<\/strong> who were pivotal players at DreamWorks (now all at Big Machine Label Group [BMLG]) when the original version launched in 2003.<\/p>\n
