NEW YORK (CelebrityAccess) — Bruno Mars continued his winning streak at the 60th annual Grammy Awards, taking home the gold statue for Record of the Year for his smash hit “24K Magic.”<\/p>\n

Mars was up against some tough competition for the in the category included, which included Jay-Z for 4:44,” Logic for “1-800-273-8255” feat. Alessia Cara and Khalid, Luis Fonsi and Daddy Yankee for “Despacito” feat. Justin Bieber and Julia Michaels for “Issues.”<\/p>\n

Mars, along with his fellow songwriters, also took home the award for Song of the Year for his hit “That\u2019s What I Like.\u201d In his acceptance speech, Mars recognized his co-writers on the hit, including Christopher Brody Brown, James Fauntleroy, Philip Lawrence, Ray Charles McCullough II, Jeremy Reeves, Ray Romulus and Jonathan Yip.<\/p>\n

“I’ve known these guys for over a decade,” he told the audience while accepting the award. “All the music, the music business horror stories you see in the movies, we’ve been through all of it. And this is the first time on this album that we all came collectively as a group and put this song together and put the album together. So fellas, it is an honor to share this with you tonight. These are my brothers.”<\/p>\n

Kendrick Lamar’s hit album “Damn” won him the Grammy for Best Rap Album, making it the third consecutive album from the rapper to win that award. He also picked up wins for his songs “HUMBLE” and “LOYALTY”, including Best Rap Performance, Best Rap Song and Best Music Video.<\/p>\n

Chris Stapleton, who teamed up with Emmylou Harris to perform “Wildflowers” in a touching tribute to Tm Petty, won Grammys for Best Country Album for “From A Room: Volume 1” as well as Best Country Song for “Broken Halos.”<\/p>\n

Alessia Cara, who took the chart by storm with\u00a0“1-800-273-8255” her collaboration with DJ Logic, won the Grammy for Best New Artist.<\/p>\n

The lineup of performers for the night also included Cardi B, SZA, Luis Fonsi, Daddy Yankee, U2, and Sam Smith, among others.<\/p>\n

Held at Madison Square Garden after a long hiatus from the East Coast, the Grammys this year were hosted by late night personality James Cordon<\/p>\n
