Recently re-formed art-punkers Wire will tour the US in September in support of their new EP, Read & Burn, described as "a harder, faster, louder Wire, since Read & Burn rockets along at tempos and timbres far outstripping anything on any of their prior records…"
Wire toured briefly in 2000 after a successful reunion show at London's Royal Festival Hall, and original members Colin Newman, Bruce Gilbert, Graham Lewis and Robert Grey entered the studio and produced an all-new EP of studio recordings. The EP was released on the band's own Pink Flag label in the UK this May, and should be available here via Cargo distribution this month.
