Former Clear Channel Entertainment exec Mitch Slater is apparently itching to get back into concert promotion and may windup in competition with his former CCE mates — he's one of the potential buyers of Metropolitan Entertainment Group. Delsener/Slater, his former firm, was the first in a stream of concert promoters to be bought up by Robert Silverman's SFX Entertainment company, which was sold to Clear Channel Communications for $4.4 billion in March 2000. Slater is a partner with Sillverman in his FXM company.
