
Pop and jazz vocalist Sunnah McCorckle, 55, committed suicide May 19 in New York. The popular cabaret artist was found dead outside her Upper West Side apartment at 41 West 86th Street, after jumping to her death. A suicide note was found but not disclosed.
At the time of her death, McCorckle released 17 albums and had a repertory of more than 300 songs. She was a regular on the New York cabaret scene, performing most notably at the Oak Room of the Algonquin Hotel.
