Live Nation To Manage Madison's Orpheum

MADISON, WI (CelebrityAccess) — Pending approval of a liquor license, promoter Live Nation will assume operation of Madison's Orpheum Theater.

Live Nation's House of Blues has already been handling booking at theater for the past two years, but will now take on a larger role at the venue, the Badger-Herald said.

Eve Paras, spokesperson for the Orpheum told the Badger-Herald that Live Nation's expanded role will be a benefit for the theaer, with the company bringing its national concert experience to Madison.

“[Live Nation is] the next step forward for the Orpheum,” Eve Para said.

First opened in 1927 as a vaudeville and movie theatre, the Orpheum was most recently renovatd in 2013 after the Paras family acquired the 2,000-capacity venue. – Staff Writers
