and wind down November 3 in Charleston, WV. The 16-date tour will be preceded by a
September 12 performance on CBS' "The Late Show With David Letterman." Her backing trio will
consist of her son Teddy Thompson on guitar and vocals, Jason Crigler on guitar and mandolin, and
Martin Green on keyboards, accordion, and percussion. Two concerts (October 30 and November 1)
will feature only Linda and Teddy Thompson performing as a duo.
Linda Thompson last toured the states two decades ago with her then-husband Richard Thompson
in support of their classic album "Shoot Out the Lights" (Hannibal). Although regarded as a
triumphant breakthrough for the couple and still topping many critic's lists of best albums of all times,
the album and tour marked the end of the Thompsons' professional relationship, as well as their
marriage. However, Richard Thompson guests on Linda's new album "Fashionably Late" (Rounder).
