With Ben Liss stepping down as executive director of the two-year-old Independent Promoters Organization, Carl Freed of Metropolitan Entertainment Group will be assuming the duties.
This is the second time Freed is replacing Liss in a promoter's association. Liss was the first exec director of the North American Concert Promoters Association (NACPA) and was replaced by Freed when he left. Liss returned to NACPA when Freed left to join Metropolitan Entertainment Group, where he will remain while honoring his IPO responsibilities. Liss was then replaced by his wife, Cindy Wallace, who remains with NACPA.
