
KANSAS CITY, MO (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — Hundreds of people congregated in Kansas City to watch as singer Garth Brooks and a collection of city officials opened the new $276 million dollar Spring Center, the Kansas City Star reported.
Brooks participated in the ribbon-cutting ceremony along with Mayor Mark Funkhouser, former mayor Kay Barnes and City Manager Wayne Cauthen.
"This is truly a wonderful day," Kay Barnes said. "You, we, got it done."
Brooks, who's scheduled for a string of nine shows at the new venue from November 5-12 and November 14th, announced that the final date of his KC stand will be broadcast live to movie theaters around the world. – CelebrityAccess Staff Writers
