
Henry "Hank" Guenther, 62, founder and former owner of The Saddlerack, a popular San Jose, CA country honky tonk that closed last summer, was killed along with three other unidentified passengers when his twin engine Cessna 425 Corsair private plane he was piloting, crashed on take off from Reid/Hillview airport in San Jose.
Guenther was an experienced pilot and a volunteer with Los Medicos Voladores, the Bay Area-based doctors program that flies physicians from the United States to Mexico, where the doctors treat patients for free. His flight however, was not related to the program.
