MALIBU, CA (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — Chili Peppers bassist FLEA has lost his home in the latest fires to hit Los Angeles.
The rocker's $5 million Malibu French-style mansion was burned down in the wildfires which began on November 24th, the second series of blazes to hit the region in less than a month.
Flea – real name Michael Balzary – confirmed the loss by sending local newspaper the Los Angeles Times a text message saying his home had "burnt to a crisp".
According to the L.A. Times, the home had been up for sale at the time of the fire. Originally purchased in 2006 for $10 million, its currently listed (pre-fire) for $4.8 million. The listing described the home thus: "Set in a botanical paradise, this private 2.4 acre compound also features a newly refinished pool and spa, private alcoves and pathways throughout the grounds." – CelebrityAccess Staff Writers
