Clear Channel Communications, which operates eight radio stations and CBS affiliate WKRC-TV (Channel 12) in Cincinnati, is donating $3 million in media resources to the National Underground Railroad Freedom Center, which will open on the Riverfront in 2004.
Clear Channel will provide advertising, radio,
television and Internet support for the museum's
public fund-raising
campaign.
The Freedom Center has raised $77
million toward its goal of
$110 million to be used for
building the facility and its exhibits, as well as developing educational
programs. It will focus on the Underground Railroad that slaves used to cross
to freedom in the North.
