
Bonnaroo Festival, which sold out weeks in advance and is the latest entry in festival-type events, grossed nearly $9 million from some 75,000 fans who came to rural Tennessee for the June 21-23 event. Produced by Superfly Productions and A.C. Entertainment, look for a reprise 2003. Among this year's attractions were Trey Anastasio, Widespread Panic, String Cheese Incident, Gov't Mule, Steve Winwood, Phil Lesh & Friends, Ben Harper, moe., Jurassic 5, Norah Jones, the Blind Boys of Alabama and Bela Fleck.
A double-CD and documentary DVD of Bonnaroo is due this fall.
