ADELAIDE, Australia (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — Australian touring urban music festival Jamfest, has changed its name to Supafest. While changing your tour's name a mere month before it hits the road might seem counter-intuitive, the move was made to stave off legal troubles.
A post on the festival's website noted:
Due to an potential legal conflict, The Promoters of the Jamfest have changed the name of the biggest Urban Popular Music Festival to come to Australia to Supafest 2010. "Supafest 2010" (formerly 'the Jamfest 2010') is not affiliated or associated in any way with Jam, Jam Music or Jam Recordings Pty Ltd.
The festival is set to hit Adelaide, Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane, and Perth. The Sydney date has already sold out and a second date has been added. The single-day show will feature performances by Akon, Jay Sean, Pitbull, Kelly Rowland, Sean Paul, Eve, DJ Nino Brown and Chris Sorbello. – CelebrityAccess Staff Writers
