After 42 years of touring Aretha Franklin, the Queen of Soul, is exiting the freeway of love and retiring from the road, reports USA Today. She says her summer 2003 tour will be her last. The I'll be Seeing You With a Song in My Heart Tour will play 20 to 30 shows with Ronnie Isley of the Isley Brothers and a ''very special artist'' she will name later.
''It's going to be something very, very special and a powerful production that fans will remember for a long, long time,'' she said. She calls it ''my semi-retirement'' as she still plans to record and promote her albums.
