LOS ANGELES (CelebrityAccess) – Lizzo, Lil Nas X, and Billie Eilish have been announced as the first Apple Music Award winners, the tech giant announced Monday (Dec. 2).
Lizzo has been named the Breakthrough Artist of The Year, while Lil Nas X’s “Old Town Road” was the company’s top selection for Song of The Year.
Meanwhile, Eilish will receive three awards including album of the year for her massively successful breakout debut, When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go?. She and her brother Finneas will also take home Songwriter of The Year awards. Additionally, Eilish will be honored as the first-ever recipient of the Apple Music Award for Global Artist of The Year.
Eilish will headline the event, which is slated to take place at the Steve Jobs Theater at Apple Park this Wednesday, December 4th, and will be live-streamed at 9:30 PM ET / 6:30 PM PT.
