HALIFAX, NS (CelebrityAccess) – Canadian music publicist, promoter and artist manager Lynn Horne has passed away.
Horne, who was known as a dedicated champion of Canadian music, was a pillar of the country’s Atlantic music scene. Having pushed one of Canada’s most revered songwriters Newfoundland’s Ron Hynes to the forefront, she also worked with the likes of Canadian rock band The Trews among countless others.
“Lynn is an example of the very best of the music industry in Atlantic Canada,” said Dean Stairs, Chair of the Board, East Coast Music Association. “She was a passionate advocate for the East Coast music industry. She will be remembered as a person of incredible drive, unending tenacity, and a strong commitment to the artists and music of Atlantic Canada. In 2018 she was awarded the Dr. Helen Creighton Lifetime Achievement Award in Halifax, NS. She cared deeply about the people behind the art, and always took the time to carefully listen to everyone she met. She will be greatly missed, our condolences go to her family and friends at this time of great loss.”
