(CelebrityAccess) — Actor and comedian Jerry Stiller is recovering in the hospital after a reported medical scare.
According to People, Stiller, who is 91, was rushed to the hospital on Wednesday night for an undisclosed condition.
A family friend told People that Stiller is recovering and is expected to be home this weekend but did not offer any insight into what prompted his hospitalization.
Stiller is perhaps best known for playing George Costanza’s on the hit sitcom Seinfeld, but he has appeared in other shows such as King of Queens and multiple feature films.
Earlier in his career, Stiller performed with his wife Anne Meara, as part of the comedy team Stiller & Meara, both on stage and on sketch shows, including the famed Ed Sullivan Show.
Anne passed in 2015 at the age of 85.
Stiller picked up an Emmy nomination for Outstanding Guest Actor In A Comedy Series during his tenure on Seinfield.
