LONDON (CelebrityAccess) Alexi Cory-Smith, president, repertoire and marketing of BMG UK is slated to leave the company after an exceptionally successful 7 year run.
London-based Cory-Smith joined BMG in 2011 as senior vice-president of BMG Chrysalis UK, then became executive vice-president in 2013, and was further promoted earlier this year to oversee both publishing and records at BMG UK
It was Cory-Smith who spearheaded BMG’s acquisition of Ram Records, Infectious Music, Skint/Loaded, and the BBC Worldwide music catalogs. As well, she signed deals with such artists as Giggs, the Prodigy, and ex-Pretenders’ Chrissie Hynde. She also oversaw the acquisition of the post-ABKCO/EMI publishing catalogs of the Rolling Stones’ Mick Jagger and Keith Richards.
