LOS ANGELES (CelebrityAccess) — A surveillance video from 2016 appears to show Sean “Diddy” Combs physically assaulting his then-girlfriend Cassie Ventura during an altercation at a Las Angeles hotel.
Ventura sued Combs in a federal lawsuit last November in which she alleged multiple instances of abuse, including in 2016 incident at the now-closed InterContinental Hotel in Los Angeles. The suit was settled earlier this year, though the details of the settlement were not disclosed.
The video, which was obtained by CNN, appears to show Ventura exit a hotel room and walk to a nearby elevator where she is intercepted by a man who appears to be Combs, dressed only in a towel. In the video, Combs appears to grab Ventura by the neck and throw her to the ground before kicking her several times. He then appears to drag Ventura by her sweatshirt briefly before walking away.
In the video, Ventura then stands before collecting several personal items scattered on the floor before she is shoved by the man. Combs then appears to sit down ina chair and grab an object from a table before throwing it at Ventura.
CNN reported that the moment captured on video appears to correlate to the incident reported in the Intercontinental Hotel in Ventura’s lawsuit. According to CNN, they were able to verify the location of the video based on publicly available photos of the former hotel.
In her lawsuit, Ventura claims that during their stay in the hotel room, Combs became intoxicated and struck her in the face. She claims that after he fell asleep, she attempted to leave but said that Combs woke up and pursued her to the elevator where he continued to assault her.
A rep for Ventura declined to comment to CNN on the video, while a rep for Combs did not respond. Combs previously denied Ventura’s allegations.
The release of the video comes just weeks after federal authorities raided at least two of his homes as the rap mogul faces a raft of new accusations, including sex trafficking and sexual assault.
