NEW YORK (CelebrityAccess) — Indian singer, dancer, and actor Nora Fatehi, has signed her first major label recording contract with Warner Music Group.
The deal will see Warner promote Fatahi’s music to global audiences, working with teams in the U.S. and abroad to help expand her fan base to international audiences.
Along with Warner, Fatahi will remain signed to T-Series, the Indian music label and movie studio, for her Bollywood projects.
Fatahi, who was born in Toronto, Canada to a family of Moroccan heritage, is currently based in India, where she has made a name for herself as a Bollywood actor, appearing in Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, and Malayalam films.
She’s also developed a presence on social media, with 46 million followers on Instagram and 21 million on Facebook, while her music has generated more than 1.2 billion streams and more than 5 billion YouTube views on her featured videos.
Her hits include her 2018 take on the Bollywood classic “Dilbar,” which was streamed more than 20 million times in the 24 hours following its Youtube release. Her other Bollywood hits, including “O Saki Saki,” “Garmi,” “Dance Meri Rani,” “Manike,” Kusu Kusu,” have generated billions of YouTube views collectively.
Her other notable musical interludes include teaming up with Tanzanian singer-songwriter Rayvanny for the Afropop track “Pepeta,” as well as British singer Zack Knight for the pop song “Dirty Little Secret.”
