NASHVILLE (CelebrityAccess) — “Body Like a Back Road” singer Sam Hunt was arrested early Thursday morning on charges that he was operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol.
Hunt, who is 34, was charged with DUI and for allegedly having an open container of alcohol in his car by police in Davidson County, the Nashville Tennessean reported.
Police alleged that Hunt was driving the wrong way on Ellington Parkway and had difficulty in maintaining lanes before he was pulled over.
Police claimed that Hunt had two empty beer bottles in the car when he was pulled over and had trouble providing ID, offering a passport and a credit card while a photo ID sat in his lap, the Tennessean reported.
Police alleged that Hunt was later tested with a blood alcohol level of 0.173, which is well in excess of the legal limit of .08 percent.
Hunt is currently lined up for a performance at the Barclays Center on Dec. 4th.
