(CelebrityAccess) – Tommy Boy Entertainment president Rosie Lopez has been named chairperson of the American Association of Independent Music’s (A2IM) executive committee for the coming year, the organization has announced. Additionally, Concord Music COO Glen Barros will serve as treasurer while Sub Pop Records president Tony Kiewel has been named secretary.

The executive committee is elected by the A2IM board of directors, which also consists of Merge Records co-founder Laura Ballance, Kill Rock Stars president Portia Sabin, Robbins Entertainment vp Lisa Levy, Partisan Records managing director Zena White, Mom + Pop Music co-president Thaddeus Rudd, Beggars Group founder and chairman Martin Mills, Secretly Group co-CEO Darius Van Arman and RT Industries’ Victor Zaraya.

A2IM CEO Richard James Burgess said in a statement: “Year after year, A2IM has been expertly guided by the most experienced senior label executives who serve on its board and executive committee. This year is no exception. We appreciate these entrepreneurs and leaders who give so generously of their time to strengthen A2IM’s mission to promote growth, awareness, and opportunities for independent music through advocacy, education and community.”
