ATLANTA (CelebrityAccess) — Veteran comedians Bobcat Goldthwait and Dana Gould were both injured in a car accident shortly before they were due to perform in Atlanta on Thursday night.
According to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, the two comedians were outside of the Relapse Comedy Theatre when their driver failed to yield while turnin gleft and struck another vehicle.
Atlanta police officer TaSheena Brown told the AJC that the two comedians were transported to a local hospital for treatment of minor injuries and their driver was cited for traffic violations and driving on a suspended license.
The driver of the other vehicle declined medical treatment but complained of leg pain, the AJC reported.
The two comedians are on the road with their “The Show With Two Heads Live” tour and had planned to record their performance in Atlanta and Asheville, N.C. for a potential special, the AJC said.
Following the accident, the Atlanta performance was canceled along with upcoming performances at the 40 Watt Club in Athens, Georgia on August 16th and Mothlight in Asheville, North Carolina on August 17th.
